the is is really a long story! I spent a whole weekend to unlock the evo 3d but no luck! Every time I send" fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin", the phone supposed to reaction but none!
Here is the solution finally by following this link

flash the included RUU RUU_Shooter_ICS_35_S_Sprint_WWE_2.89.651.2_Radio_1.09.00.0706__NV_NV_SPCS_1.43_release_271101_signed.exe
then re unlock the phone, bingo! got it.
The reason is the the OTA rom has some issues so just overwrite it with the RUU, everything works.!
